CMA Foundation Eligibility Criteria
When you choose to study CMA (Certified Management Accountant) course then please check the following.
(a) The candidate should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
(b) Passed Senior Secondary Examination under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board or an Examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto or has passed National Diploma in Commerce Examination held by the All India Council for Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council, or the Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education.

Excemptions from the course
(a) Any Candidate who has passed the Foundation examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India will be exempted from Foundation Course.
(b) Any Candidate who has passed the Intermediate Examination (by whatever name called) conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will be exempted from Foundation Course.
(c) Similarly, any candidate who has passed the Intermediate examination will be exempted from Common Proficiency Test (i.e. entry level examination, by whatever name called) conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination for direct admission to Intermediate Course are exempted from Foundation Course. (Annexure VI)
Provisional Admission: Students may also seek provisional admission to the foundation course. Such students would be provided a time period of 36 (thirty six) months to convert from Provisional to Regular Status.
Fees Structure: The fees structure has been revised now. However there is a cost of prospectus of Rs.250.
Syllabus: The syllabus consists of 4 papers in the foundation which needs to be cleared to proceed to the Intermediate Level.

A candidate should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
If you pass CMA Foundation in January, you must complete all your classes within 8 months i.e., by September to appear in CMA Intermediate in December. Similarly, if you pass the CMA Foundation in July, you must complete all your classes by March to appear in CMA Intermediate in June.
The CMA Foundation 2023 registration fee is Rs. 6,000 which can be paid in both online or postal mode. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before registering themselves.
