Aspiring students have to take up an eligibility test conducted by RBI, followed by interviews. RBI Grade B 2022 Exam will be conducted in three phases:

  • Phase-I or Prelims;
  • Phase-II or Mains
  • Interview

Candidates are required to clear all three phases to get a confirmed post as a Grade B Officer in the Reserve Bank of India. The Final merit list will be based on candidates’ performance in the main exam and the interview round.

The eligibility cum entrance test has two levels namely Phase 1 and Phase 2 and the same is conducted online.

Phase-I Online Examination (Objective Type): This comprises of a Single Paper for 200 marks (across sections). The Paper tests you on-

  • General Awareness
  • English Language
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning

Candidates, who secure minimum marks separately for each Test, as prescribed, will be shortlisted for Phase-II of the examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in Phase-I.

The candidates who qualify for the Prelims will be eligible to appear for the Main exam or Phase 2.

  • There are three separate papers in the Main exam.
  • For RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR) – General, candidates have to appear for Paper I, II, & III.
  • Paper I & III are 50% Objective & 50% Descriptive while Paper- II is Descriptive only.
  • Each paper will be of 100 marks.
  • The English paper is a descriptive test.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on the aggregate marks obtained in Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III of the Phase II exam.
