The much expected RBI Grade B Officers Recruitment 2017 notification is released and shall generate a lot of response among bank job aspirants for obvious reasons.Reserve Bank of India, owned by Govt. of India is the top banking organization that is primarily responsible for maintain the economic stability in India.In simpler words, it can be called as the Banker to Banks. 

While customer queue outside public sector banks for loans, withdrawals, deposits etc, RBI doesn’t provide any of these facilities. 

Therefore the job profile of RBI Grade B officer shall be more of administrative work involving policy matters, foreign exchange, currency management, government securities, governmental work etc.,

Online registrations: May 3 to 23, 2017

Written Exam: Phase I – June 17; Phase II – July 7, 2017 

RBI Grade B: What is the Eligibility Condition?

Inorder to apply for this RBI grade B officers recruitment 2017, candidates are required to satisfy the following conditions: 

Age: Should be within 21 – 30 yrs (+3 yrs for OBC,+5 yrs for SC/ST, +10yrs for PWD) as on May 1, 2017

* Those with M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper agelimit will be 32 and 34 years respectively 

Education:You must have scored minimum 60% marks in bachelor`s degree, std.12 (or diploma) & std.10th 

For those who are awarded CGPA scores, you must convert into percentage & enter in the application form.If your college doesn’t provide the conversion method, use the following table to know your marks in percentile.

Number of attempts: General category candidates who had already appeared 6 times for the RBI Grade B (phase I exam) are NOT eligible to apply.There are no such restrictions for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

 Selection Process:

The RBI grade B recruitment exam is completely online & is held in two phases:

  • Phase I: Objective paper for 200 marks on June 17, 2017
  • Phase II: Held on July 7 for 300 marks

There are cutoffs for each section as well as for total score in phase I & only those who secure these marks shall become eligible for Phase II.

 The final selections would be done based on your aggregate marks obtained in Phase II (paper I + II + III) and interview.
